PEMANFAATAN DATABASE ONLINE EBSCO BAGI PEMUSTAKA

This research was conducted to determine the use of Ebsco online database subscribed by UPT Library Universitas Negeri Padang for users Padang. method uses a quantitative type with descriptive method. In this study, researchers used two instruments, namely questionnaire and interview. The adapted from Hidayat (2007). has 19 questions divided into four categories namely; frequency utilization, purpose utilization database, ability browse collections actions on information search results databases. From 61 repondents, it can be concluded that are categorized as "frequent". Based analysis using categories, overall variables were obtained, there 28 percentage 46% retrieval process in database.The aspect influence users, trace role librarians. most activity 44% (in category sometimes). So study whole found "frequent" 46%.
